Teapot for washing the nose copper "Neti Pot" JN-9 9 * 15 * 10cm.
Jala Neti Technique - Nasal Flushing:
1. Take a neti sweat with a thin nose.
2. Salt water until it tastes like tears. For common practice, water is used at a temperature just below 36 degrees. If there is mucus in the nasal passages (for colds), then the water is used warm enough.
3. Take a comfortable standing or squatting position with the body tilted forward.
4. Firmly insert the neti sweat spout into one of the nostrils and tilt your head to one side so that water flows freely from the open nostril. Flush the other nostril with the same volume of salted water. During the entire procedure, it is recommended that part of the water passing through the nose be sucked in through the mouth and spit out.
During the procedure, breathe through your mouth and after completion, blow out your nose, alternately plugging the nostrils, allowing the remaining water to flow out freely. To avoid water getting into your ear, you should not blow your nose very hard.
Try not to blow out the water too hard, as this can cause water to enter your ears.
If, after doing jala neti, you experience discomfort in the nose, then this indicates that the amount of salt for the practice has been chosen incorrectly. A large amount of salt is painful, and a lack of salt is a burning sensation.
You should not be overzealous in the use of hot water, salt and iodine. If the use of hot water is still permissible for training purposes, then the use of soda and iodine is justified only in the presence of an illness.
If you suffer from frequent sinusitis, bleeding, colds, headaches, insensitivity to odors, eye inflammation and decreased vision, neti kriya is allowed to be practiced every day. Otherwise, it is recommended to practice once or twice a week.
